KABALI: After a year Superstar  is back with the much expected untouchable AKA kabali. People were delighted to know that Rajinikanth was playing a don again. The teaser and posters created a huge buzz amongst people. Did Kabali do what it aimed to do? Did it live up to the expectations?

The film starts with the introduction of the top gangsters within Malaysia and the reasons for which they had fought.

The movie revolves around the struggle by Tamlians in Malaysia which later on leads to the  development of two different gangs.

Speaking of Performances:-

Superstar has done what it takes to give a perfect performance. This character of his  was a little different. Radhika Apte also had a major role to play which was done well. John Vijays performance is to be appreciated. Dhanshika also played a critical part in the movie. Dinesh has also done his part well.

The movie could have been paced better. It did feel slow in some scenes. Ranjith could have done a little more to make this a perfect movie.  Santhosh Narayan background score plays a major plus throughout the movie especially in some scenes.

VERDICT:-  KABALI  IS DIFFERENT WHICH MIGHT LEAVE SCATTERED OPINIONS,BUT  IT’S SUPERSTAR FOR WHOM YOU WILL WANT TO WATCH. WATCH THE MOVIE IN THEATRES YOU’LL HAVE A GOOD TIME.

SULTAN:-After Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Sallu Bhai is back to the theatres with his movie Sultan. The movie was talked about due to its different trailer and posters, all his fans were eagerly waiting for this release. Did the movie meet its expectations?

The movie starts with Sultan(Salman) falling in love with a wrestler called Aarfa(Anushka), who later on tells him that a useless guy like him can’t marry her and she wants to only marry a wrestler. Feeling insulted and humiliated Sultan decides to train and become a wrestler, so that he can marry Aarfa and also prove her wrong.

Sultan not only wins Aarfa’s heart but starts to win every championship he takes part in. This is when Sultan starts becoming arrogant, overconfident and loses his head. Does the change in Sultan do good for him, or does it make him lose things that are really important to him? Watch the movie to find out!

Speaking of performances:-                                                                                                                                Sultan being a wrestler Salman had maintained  a really good physique for this role and had all he could  for this  role. Aarfa played by Anushka had an important role and had some wrestling scenes for  which she had undertaken training. Another important character in the film was Govind(Sultan’s friend) played by Anant had done a really good job. Randeep Hooda plays a cameo sort of coach for Sultan and had done a great job in doing so.

The background music had given more life to certain scenes in the movie especially the climax. Although a few songs did disturb the flow of the movie. The movie could have been trimmed by 10-20 minutes. The film’s run time of 2hours 50 minutes makes us feel a drag in the movie.

VERDICT:-SULTAN HAS ALL THE ELEMENTS NEEDED FOR SALMAN’S FANS TO CELEBRATE THIS MOVIE AND TURNS OUT TO BE A GOOD WEEKEND WATCH FOR THE OTHERS.

A GROWN UP TARZAN

Cast: Alexander Skarsgård, Christoph Waltz, Djimon Hounsou, Margot Robbie, Samuel L. Jackson
Direction: David Yates
Screenplay: Adam Cozad, Craig Brewer
Story: Adam Cozad, Craig Brewer, Edgar Rice Burroughs
Music: Rupert Gregson-Williams
Background score: Rupert Gregson-Williams

The Legend Of Tarzan: It was great news once an official confirmation was given by David Yates that he’ll be directing this movie. Tarzan already being a classic character had given the movie great awareness. Did Tarzan give us a classic adventure again?

We’ve all known the Tarzan who was raised by the apes, later on becoming the king of the jungle. In this movie the story starts with Tarzan to be known as John Clayton who had left the jungle and had come to London with his wife Jane.

Later on John Clayton is asked to go to the jungle as a delegate accompanied by a US delegate Willaims(who was sent to make a report on slavery) for political purposes. Although this is a master plan by Leon Rom(Belgian officer). The plan is to handover Tarzan to Chief Mbonga in exchange for diamonds available in that territory as Belgium was in need of funds for their rubber operations.

Does Captain Rom succeed with his plan? Does Tarzan manage to save his people? You’ll have to see the movie to know what adventure he has for us.

Alexander Skarsgard is the perfect cast for Tarzan he has the perfect physique and has given a superb performance. Margot Robbie has done a good job of playing Jane.  Samuel L Jackson and Christoph Waltz have given powerful performances. The performances in this movie have been a major positive. There were adventurous scenes in which CGI was superb, but somehow  it didn’t have an overall impact. The film lost its pace during various scenes due to which the movie didn’t seem to be special.

VERDICT:- TARZAN BEING A CLASSICAL CHARACTER TRIES TO GIVE YOU ANOTHER CLASSIC MOVIE BUT THE LEGEND OF TARZAN JUST DOESN’T GIVE THE ADVENTURE YOU WERE HOPING FOR.
